How to upload new products - Admin

Learn how to create a new product, approve and delete

To create a new product listing including simple merchandise, food and beverage and gift cards, please follow these simple steps. Please note that if you are creating a product from the vendor/team dashboard, the product will not appear on the site until the administrator has approved your listing.

From the main home page of the CMS (Content Management System), navigate the left-hand menu to the Products tab, then click on 'Create Product' button.

Product Name
Type in the product name that will appear on the website, some special characters are only allowed through javascript injection but advised against as affects SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

Brand Name
Allows you to curate products under a specific brand name, to distinguish between all other similar products or services.

Terms & Conditions

Provides the opportunity to add product specific terms and conditions related only to the product.

Barcode

Allows the opportunity to add product barcode for inventory management and which will appear in downloaded reporting.


Vendor SKU
Type in the stock-keeping unit (SKU). This is a unique product identifier for stock management. If the SKU is not available, use the product name.

Stores
Please select the storefront(s), in which you would like the product to appear. Check all that applies.

Add Tag to Product

Allows you to add a custom label tag to the product to be shown on the website. To learn more about Product tags click on the button below


Short Description and Long Description

In the short description box, type a brief description of the product and limit it to 60 characters.

For the long description box, type in the additional product details, descriptions or terms and conditions, which are limited to 150 characters long.

If you are copying and paste text from another source, be sure to clear the text format by clicking the below 'X' button from the text toolbar. Once the 'clear format' button has been clicked, you may use the font and text editing buttons to format the test in both short and long descriptions to your requirements.

Disable option to add to cart - checkbox clicked will not allow an end user to select a product to pass the checkout phase and be purchased. Used for product that still would like to be shown on website but for whatever reason would not like to purchased, possibly because of no inventory.

Hide From Search - checkbox clicked will allow a product to be published on the website, yet not be visible to the end user. Will only be seen by copying and pasting the product URL structure into the web browzer bar.

Used for showcasing a product or hiding a product to be purchased for internal use only.

Allow Gift Message
Select 'Yes' on the dropdown to let the customer add a personalised message to the recipient during checkout.

Product Type

Simple: this is a physical product. If the product you are creating is not F&B ( Food & Beverage) or a Gift Card / Voucher, please select this item and continue.

Food: This should be selected for food for delivery or takeaway (F&B - Food and Beverage). To create a F&B product follow these simple steps.

Blocked dates are dates that you do not want to offer your service, for example, you may not deliver on Sundays, in this case, you would block out Sundays.

Featured: Select 5 products you would like to feature on your storefront.

Check 'Disable option to add to cart' if product is not available for sale.

Gift Card: Select this option if your product is a digital or physical gift card, of which it can be of monetary value ($100) or an experience, such as Afternoon Tea.

Service Provider: Choose your service provider, TS Gift Card or Givex.

TS Gift Card Type: Here you can select ‘Experience’ or ‘Monetary

Campaign Code: Paste the campaign code for your gift card into this field. Campaign codes will be set at the start of the store set-up with a list to establish the validity of specific gift cards and their redeemable properties

Delivery Mode: Select the delivery method for your gift card i.e. digital. This will be sent to the recipient via email or physical. A physical gift card produced will be sent via post or courier.

Inventory

Do Not Manage Stock - Check this check box to have unlimited stock quantity, used primarily for digital products that do not need inventory management. If checked the Inventory 'Stock Qty' will disappear as in the screenshot below, otherwise continue to enter in your valid stock quantity.

Stock Status

Update your stock's status by marking it 'In Stock' or 'Out of Stock'. If unavailable, this will not appear on the site.

Stock Quantity
If the stock quantity reaches zero (0), the product will not feature on the site in order to avoid a customer adding product to cart.

Minimum Order Quantity

Input the minimum order quantity of product here. Anything less than the stated number will prohibit the customer from successfully checking out otherwise.

Pack Size

Pack Size relates to the number of items that may be in a package. For example if you are selling a 4 pack of linen table napkins, you would populate the number 4 in this field.

Pricing

Please make sure when adding pricing, DO NOT add a currency symbol as this will result in error!

Price Prefix & Suffix

This is a field area to add text before and after the product price on the front end. E.g. Prices are from : US$ 200 per person sharing. Again, do not add the currency symbol.


Tax Category
This feature allows you to choose the different tax categories to cater for various different tax properties associated with you as a vendor or team, which reflects the nature of your products being sold and to what countries. Learn how to set-up tax categories here.

If no tax category is setup then choose 'DEFAULT' or 'NONE'

Select Vendor
Tag the vendor/brand the product is related to.

RRP
Input a Recommended Retail Price here, without a currency symbol.
Check 'Hide price for non logged in users' if you would like to hide the price from the public.

Cost Price

Provides the ability to add the cost price of the product in which to further establish of profit margins per product and cost of sales analysis.

Sale
Mark either 'Yes' or 'No' if the product will be going under a promotion. If so, enter the discounted sale price (without currency symbol) and the active dates of promotion.

Local Delivery Price

If you are offering free delivery, please mark it as ‘0’ (zero). Otherwise, please input the desired Local Area price. This section should only be used if you wish to build in an additional amount for shipping locally into the advertised price, as seen by the customer.

International Delivery Price
If you have opted for free delivery, please mark it as ‘0’ (zero). Otherwise, please input the desired International Delivery price. This section should only be used if you wish to build in an additional amount for shipping globally into the advertised price, as seen by the customer.

Delivery Times

Delivery Details

Please input the following details into this section:

  • How your product will be delivered (e.g. via which courier)

  • Where your product is being delivered from

  • Estimated lead time for local versus international delivery

  • If your item comes gift boxed etc.

Manufacturing Lead Time

If made to order, enter manufacturing lead time here to inform customers of the expected duration of production.

Shipping Category
Select the relevant shipping category the product is associated with (e.g. standard package or large package etc). This will help calculate the final shipment cost upon checkout.
You can create additional shipping categories under Settings > Shipping Categories

Categories

Please click on the black arrow to reveal all the subcategories in the dropdown. Check the relevant boxes for your product to appear in those subcategories.

Please limit your selection to 10 categories, this includes no more than 3 level subcategories.

It is really important that you do not add your product listing to categories that are not relevant to you, as this may cause your product to be disapproved from the store.

This section is related to SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Although what you input here doesn’t factor into the search engine’s ranking algorithms, meta titles, descriptions and keywords can impact a page’s CTR (click-through-rate) which can positively impact a page’s ability to rank. So if you can, please fill in the following fields where applicable.

Meta Title
Title that describes your product if someone was to search for it. This is the text that is displayed on search engine result pages and browser tabs. Keep it concise with a focus keyword your customer will search for.

Meta Keywords
List popular keywords someone might input to find your product on a search engine.

Meta Description
This is an optional section, but beneficial for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Meta description provides a brief summary of the product which is displayed under the title of a search result in a search engine. This can influence click-through rates to your product listing. The optimal length for copy is 50-160 characters.

Option Types & Variants

Option types are created in the main admin CMS under the settings tab. For more information on creating 'Option Types', please click on the button below:

Options

Properties
Properties are filters that you might like to apply to a product for filtering purposes. Please select only properties that relate to your product. These are used as filters to help customers find products relevant to them.

Custom Options

Please select the option(s) if the product comes in more than one option. This allows you to add variants for the product. Please select and input the necessary fields for each variant.

If your product has customisable elements, e.g. you can personalise it with a name, select different fonts or colours, you can add these by clicking on '+ Add New Option'.

The different input types you can select from are:

  • Date

  • Field (small text box, ideal for name personalisation)

  • Area (larger text box, ideal for gift message)

  • Drop-down

  • Radio buttons

  • Check box

  • Multiple Select

  • File (allow the customer to add a photo/file when placing their order)

  • Colour (you can add hex codes per listing, which will show up as thumbnails on the product page)

Please also ensure these fields are filled in:

Title – The title that will appear above this field. E.g.: Pattern type

Input Type – This relates to the type of field the customer will see. E.g.: Drop-down.

Is Required – This indicates whether this field is a required input or not. If it is and a customer leaves it blank, they will not be able to add the product to their cart.

Sort Order – This input sorts which Custom Option appears first.

Select Store – Select stores which the custom option will be available at. If you don't highlight any stores, this custom option will be hidden from any live sites.

Once these have been filled in, please then click '+ Add Field' to add the options. If your custom option has any additional charges, you can add these in as fixed amounts. For example, a monogrammed bathrobe costs an additional $10 on top of the product price, please put in $10 on the respective option.

Images

To upload images, Choose file > Select file > Upload. You can upload multiple images in one-go by holding down the 'Shift' key on your keyboard and select the relevant images.

Please ensure you have selected one hero image for Base Image (product), Small Image (category) and Thumbnail (Cart/Checkout).

Product images ideally should be:

  • JPEG or PNG

  • Sized for web: Maximum file size of 200kb

  • Minimum: 800 x 800px

  • Maximum: 1200 x 1200px ( max file size 300kb)

Please also ensure you have named your images correctly as this will support the SEO. An ideal format to save your images is as follows: Brandname-product-name.jpg

Lastly, to save your product or any product changes, please click 'Save'
