In this article you will learn how to build out your navigation as well as add meta title and descriptions to each of your categories.
The purpose of categories is to help set out the website's product hierarchy. Your products will most likely show up in the categories selected.
Navigate to 'Categories' tab from the left-hand menu.
Please click on the black arrows to reveal all the subcategories in the dropdown.
Add: This allows you to add a new category.

βEdit: This button allows you to edit the category you are on.
Delete: This icon allows you to delete a category
Edit Category
Category Title
Enter the title of the new category you would like to create. For example, Experiences, Food and Beverage or Accessories.
Category URL
Enter the name of the category as you would like it to appear in the url, for example
www.myshop.com/categories/food-and-beverage
www.myshop.com/categories/food-beverage-experiences
Parent Category
From the dropdown, select the parent category the new category is associated with. E.g. If you are creating a new category under 'Wellness', this would go under the parent category 'Experiences'.
Please Note! Categories are limited to 4 sub-structure branch arrangement i.e. Categories > Men (1) > Sportswear (2) > cycle gear (3) > brand (4)
Description
Enter a short description to identify the category.
Meta Title
A title that describes your product if someone was to search for it. This is the text that is displayed on search engine result pages and browser tabs. Keep it concise with a focus keyword your customer will search for.
Meta Description
This is an optional section, but beneficial for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Meta description provides a brief summary of the product which is displayed under the title of a search result in a search engine. This can influence click-through rates to your product listing. The optimal length for copy is 50-160 characters.
Hide From Vendors
Select this if you would like to make the category invisible to public.
If you would like a Banner Image added to your category listing page, start by selecting from the drop down menu, where you would like to position the image, either Top, Bottom, Centre or Hide the image.
Next select the Banner Image by choosing the file on clicking the button 'Choose File' . Image file must be either a .PNG or .JPEG format.
Add any text that you would like to overlay the image in the text field before finally clicking on 'Add Category'
