Promotion categories are establish in which to assign promotions that have been developed under specific criteria and rules outlined in the promotions settings tab,
To create promotion categories please navigate from the main home page of the CMS on the left-hand menu to the bottom where you will find: 'Settings' > 'Promotion Categories'
The following table will appear in which all previously promotion categories that have been created. To create a new category simply click on '+ Create Promotion Category', in order to open up the create order tag menu
Simply type in the promotion category name you wish, eg ‘General’ as well as adding a promotion code and then finish by clicking ‘Save’.
Once the promotion category has been saved they will be available for selection in the ‘Promotions’ detail page as ‘Promotion Category’ as shown below with a drop down menu of all the created product tags. eg ‘ General’
