How to Set Up a Facebook Product Catalogue & Upload a Feed
With a Facebook Catalogue, you can create a Facebook Shop and start making shoppable Instagram posts. In addition, you can set up individual product ads on Facebook to retarget customers who visited your store but didn't buy anything.
If you follow the instructions below, you can automatically get all of your products into a Facebook catalogue.
Then Facebook will regularly check your feed and update any changes you make to your website products, like stock levels, prices or product descriptions. Your Facebook shop will stay updated automatically.
In order to take advantage of Facebook Advertising, you must set up Facebook Business Manager first.

ie: add your website storefront name in place of the 'Techsemblystorefont'.domain, eg https://mycompany.comreports/lyst_feed
Stage 1 - Setup Facebook Business Manager
Business Manager helps you manage and organise your business on Facebook. A Facebook account is required to create Business Manager. You sign in with your Facebook username and password. This is a more secure way to log in than just your email address.
Note: It's only possible to create two Business Manager accounts. You can create additional Business Manager accounts with someone else in your organization if you need more.
Before you begin
You'll need a personal Facebook account to confirm your identity.
To create a Business Manager:
Click Create account.
Enter a name for your business, your name and work email address and click Next.
Enter your business details and click Submit.
Once you have your Facebook Business Manager set up, the next step in the integration process is to create:
Product catalogue
Product Feeds
Upload & Schedule a Product Feed
Step 2 - Product catalogue requirements
Facebook are very stringent as to what content needs to be in place in the feed and will reject it if there are even the smallest issues. Luckily this isn’t something you need to worry about as a Techsembly customer as we have created hundreds of these for clients and the format will be correct when you connect to our platform.
Step 3 - Upload a new data feed to a catalogue
To upload a new data feed to your catalogue:
Go to Commerce Manager and select your catalogue.
Open the catalogue tab and go to Data sources.
Select Add items. If a drop-down appears, select Add multiple items.
Select Data feed followed by Next.
5. Select Yes and then Next
6.Select Use A URL and enter the URL Techsembly have provided to you (this will be unique to your business)
7. Schedule the product feed. This will be how often the products will update your catalogue on Facebook from your Techsembly website. We recommend choosing Daily.
8. Select Upload on the next stage and Facebook will then check to see if the feed is working as expected
N.B. Your products will now be uploaded to Facebook. You may see HTML warnings in your Long Product Description. The formatting on your website is stripped back to fit Facebook's platform. This will not affect the performance of your catalogue and can be ignored.
Step 4 - Add an update schedule
Once that's done, you'll need to set up your Update feed so that Facebook gets product updates every hour.
1. Open the Settings tab on the Data Sources screen. Scroll down and click the button labelled + Update Schedule
2.Select Hourly, re-enter the URL provided by Techsembly and click save.
Once Facebook finishes processing your upload, you'll get an email and you'll be able to check your product's status. When your products are successfully added to Facebook, you can build a Facebook Shop, create Instagram Shopping pins, or advertise on Facebook.
