From the Admin CMS dashboard first, navigate to the Settings > Tax Rate

The 'Tax Rate' then is the actually tax rate that is associated with the tax code, so for example Australia GST ( Tax code) is 10% ( Tax Rate) whereas in Netherlands it is 21% and in Switzerlands it’s VAT ( tax code) is 7.7% ( tax rate)

On this landing page you will see all your current 'Tax Rates', to create a new tax rate, simply click 'Create Tax Rate'.

  • Name: Tax Rate Name

  • Zones: The geographical region that the tax rate will be applied.

  • Rate: Tax rates are a decimal amount (between 0 to 1) to aid in calculations, (i.e. if the tax rate is 5%, then you will need to enter 0.05%)

  • Tax Category: The category of the tax.

  • You have the option to click the checkbox for Show Rate in Label which will make the tax rate appear in the checkout flow as a detailed part of the costings and checking the Included in Price box, will include the tax rate within the final checkout price

  • Calculator: select the default option available.

Once complete, your tax rate will appear on the main 'Tax Rate' page. If you want to delete a specific tax rate, navigate to the 'Actions' section and press 'Delete'.
